How does Honeymoon Phase market my location?

All the Honeymoon Phase locations are loaded onto our website. We then market your location through our extensive client database; Honeymoon Phase constantly sends out images of your location, via e-mail, to our clients. Seeing as the members of Honeymoon Phase are actively working in the film industry as production crew, we are constantly aware of which shoots are being briefed out and which locations each upcoming shoot requires.

What does “option” or “pencil” mean?

An “option”  is a reference to how available a specific location is on a specific date.

When a client wants to provisionally book your property (and the property is available) we place them on a 1st  option. If any other company wants to provisionally book the property for the same date, they get placed on a 2nd or 3rd option.

If a client holds a “1st option” on your property, it means that they have the first right to use your location on a specific date. Should a client, holding only a 2nd option, wish to confirm the location, we place the client holding the 1st option on 24-hour notice. They then have to either confirm or release their option within 24 hours.

What does “recce” mean?

“Recce” is an industry term for a technical inspection of a location. The key crew visit the location prior to shooting in order to plan the technical aspects of their shoot and also to ascertain whether the location is in fact suitable for their specific shoot.

If a production company requests to “recce” your property, we will contact you to arrange a time that suits you.

Remember, all the locations on the Honeymoon Phase database are there because we believe that we can bring them bookings.

Will my property be insured during a shoot or event?

Should any part of your property get damaged during a shoot or event, the production company is liable. This clause is included in our rental agreement with the production companies. The production company will repair any damages and / or replace all damaged goods.

Should I be at the property when there is a shoot or an event?

As a paying client, the production companies will expect to be able to shoot in any area of the property. Please specify beforehand if certain areas are off-limits to the crew. They will need to work freely without having to “mind” you.  Of course, if it’s a small shoot and the crew do not want to utilize a certain part of the house, and you wish to work / stay there for the day, then that’s fine; However, in the case of big shoots, it will be better for you to leave the location during the shooting period. However, it will be of great help to have someone (i.e. a gardener) on standby to advise the crew should they need assistance in finding the irrigation system control board or similar.
